There are 4 main types of termite treatments that can be performed on a property. Full, Partial, Spot & Baiting Systems treatments.

#1 Full Treatment: The Property owner can only receive a “full treatment” before the property is built. Proper and effective preconstruction treatment for subterranean termite prevention requires the establishment of complete vertical and horizontal approved physical or chemical barriers between wood in the structure and the termite colonies in the soil or a “horizontal chemical barrier” that is created by using a low pressure spray after the final grading is complete and prior to pouring the slab, footings. A partial or spot treatment is anything less than the full treatment as described above. Therefore, a treatment done to an existing home will always be a partial or spot treatment.

# 2 Partial Treatment: This treatment technique allows a wide variety of treatment strategies but is more involved than a spot treatment. Example: Treatment of some or all of the perimeter, bath traps, expansion joints, stress cracks. Pier and Beam: Generally defined as the treatment of the outer perimeter including porches, patios and treatment of the attached garage. In the crawl space, treatment would include any soil to structure contacts as well as removal of any wood debris on the ground. Slab construction: Generally defined as treatment of the perimeter and all known slab penetrations as well as any known expansion joints or stress cracks. After the treatment is complete you will have a one year service agreement, with the option to renew it annually.

# 3 Spot Treatment: Is any treatment which concerns a limited defined area less than ten (10) linear or square feet that is intended to protect a specific location or “spot.” Often there are adjacent areas susceptible to termite infestations which are not treated. There is no service agreement on a spot treatment.

# 4 Baiting Systems: This type of treatment may include interior and/or perimeter placement of monitoring or baiting system along with routine inspection intervals. The baiting technique may include one (1) or more locations as prescribed by the product lable and instructions. This treatment will come with a one year service agreement contract, with the option to renew it annually. Failure to renew service agreement contract will lead to removal of baiting system. LIQUID TREATMENTS :

Affordable Termite & Pest Control, LLC is a Termidor Certified Approved Company, which means that the technicians have completed and passed the Termidor approved training program. Termidor is the #1 selling and recommended termiticide on the market and is used in every state. Termidor has the active ingredient Fipronil 9.1% which is a non-repellant that has a unique transfer effect. Once a Termite comes in contact with treated Termidor soil it becomes a carrier and transfers Termidor to other Termites that it comes in contact with. The new Termites that have now been introduced to Termidor continue to transfer it thought the colony like a virus till total and complete colony control is gained, this can take up to 90 days to achieve.

BAITING TREATMENTS : 

Affordable Termite & Pest Control, LLC uses Isopthor EZE bait stations ( Termite Colony Elimination System ). The active ingredient that is used in the isopthor bait stations is Diflubenzuron 0.25% which is an insect development inhibitor. When consumed by a termite, diflubenzuron impairs the ability of a termite to molt. Termites need to molt regularly to survive, once enough termites consume difubenzuron this will kill the colony over time. Termites swarm every year and establish new colonies in the ground, maintaing the bait stations yearly and renewing the service agrement contract is key in proecting your home from future infestations.
